Russian River Senior
Resource Center

Since 1986, the Russian River Senior Resource Center has been providing a wide range of services to seniors in need.  Their particular mission is to strengthen the family network for seniors:  this can be relatives, care providers, friends and pets.  As Diane Spain, Senior Services Director says, “We are like a second family to those who come to the Senior Center, especially for those who have lost relatives and friends.”

The Center provides comprehensive services that address economic, social and support needs of West Sonoma County seniors.  Many rural seniors are physically isolated from services they need to help them stay in their homes.  The Center provides life sustaining and life enriching services that assist them in living independent, meaningful lives.

Services Include:

  • Case Management:  Assessment, care planning, monitoring
  • Information and Assistance:  referrals, advocacy, follow-up
  • Council on Aging’s Hot Meals Program:  home delivered meals, lunch at the dining site
  • Socialization:  classes, activities, monthly newsletter
  • Support Programs:  commodities, transportation, shopping, applications
  • Family & Caregiver Support:  one-on-one counseling, caregiver library

The Russian River Senior Resource Center is located at 15010 Armstrong Woods Road in Guerneville.  Their phone number is (707) 869-0618 and the fax number is (707) 869-0610.
