Counseling and Prevention

SCHOOL-BASED COUNSELING AND PREVENTION

School-based counseling services are provided to contracting West County school districts. WCCS counselors and interns provide individual counseling, psychoeducational groups, assessment and referral, prevention education in the classroom, after-school leadership groups and activities, and consultation services to school personnel and to parents.

COMMUNITY COUNSELING

WCCS provides general counseling services to individuals, children, couples and families. We accept Medi-Cal and certain private insurance as well as offer a sliding fee scale.

Our licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) and post-graduate registered MFT interns provide treatment and support for a variety of clinical issues, including but not limited to:

Anxiety and Depression
Stress
Parenting Issues
Family Conflict
Anger Management
Grief & Loss
Low Self-esteem
Physical & Sexual Abuse

In addition, WCCS has a Bi-lingual/Bi-cultural registered MFT intern to serve our Latino/Spanish speaking community.

Services are provided at our Sebastopol Family Service Center as well as at our Administrative office in Guerneville.
